The Joy of our Lives !!   Kyleigh

ABOUT US...
My husband & I {Louie & Laurie York}, have been married for 27 years and
have 2 daughters a 2 sons-n-law and 1 granddaughter.  We have lived our
whole lives here in Randolph County.
Both of us were born and raised in the
country and it has given us a great appreciation for the out doors and country
life.  We both enjoy fishing, hunting and riding our Kawasaki Mule and spending
time with our family.

We hope that as you stay in our little logstyle cabin, that it will give you the
opportunity to enjoy and appreciate God in this beautiful land we live in.  To help
you develop deeper more meaningful relationships with loved ones or just get
reacquainted with old friends.   Whatever your reason for coming, we hope that
you will be able to go back home refreshed and relaxed.

This is the only cabin of its kind in this area with log siding on the exterior and a
full front porch that really gives this cabin a real log home feel.  You will have
plenty of rocking room as you sit back and visit with friends or just quietly watch
the sun set.  The back deck has plenty of privacy as you enjoy the hot tub, grill
out or just enjoy the view of the peaceful valley.  The cabin is furnished in leather
furniture for that homey warm feeling and wood floors are throughout.  Each
bedroom is beautifully decorated and has a comfortable Queen Bed with large
closets.  You can pack light because we furnish a washer and dryer & almost
everything else for you.  The full size kitchen has everything you need to whip up
a light lunch or a gourmet meal.  Just bring your clothes, extra food and some
personal items.

The cabin is located just 5 miles south of Chester off of Rt. 3 on our 40 acre farm
in Rockwood, IL  with lots of rolling hills and wildlife to enjoy. The Turkey Bluff
State Park and the SFW newly acquired 4000 acres are just a couple of miles from
the cabin so, there is plenty of nature to explore or hunt.  Mushroom hunting is
also a favorite in our neck of the woods. From Morels in the Spring to Hen of the
woods in the fall and Elephant ears in the late fall and winter.  You won't be
disappointed as you search for these local delicacies.  Just pick them fresh and
bring them back to the cabin and cook them up and enjoy.

We might see you around as we are often at the farm either working or just
enjoying the country life.
